Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Quote: My husband came home shivering yesterday and had to take a hot bath.
It was a first in the 33 years I have known him. His metabolism never lets him down.
I think he just could not adjust as rapidly as he needed to.

There is frost on my neighbor's roof.
It was in the 90's last week.
The part about winter down here now- and it has changed - is when I was a kid, we put winter clothes away in the summer, and summer clothes away in the winter.
That can not be done anymore. You can go from coats to shorts in five hours.
Better check the GPS - it sounds like you may have moved to Wilmington.

Pointing the GPS towards Wilmington.

Without meaning to flaunt my Northern Superiority (weather wise), When we spent our first winter in our Florida house, I went to Walmart to get something. It was about 40 degrees and a tad windy but not bad. There was a Salvation Army bell ringer at the door. She was wearing heavy boots and pants, a parka with the hood pulled over her head. She had her hands shoved deep into her pockets and the bottom of the bell was just outside her pocket, She was ringing it by her side so her fingers never left her pocket.

I laughed so hard, we thought it was a nice evening and were wearing shorts and a Tee Shirt.

Rent a chick is one of the stupidest ideas I have heard in a very long time.
And if the chick gets hurt maimed or neglected before it gets infected with who knows what?
There is no way a chick can be returned. It would have to be quarantined and no one is going to do that for that many chicks. They will be destroyed.
What a weird experiment.

KerDUH!!!!

I hadn't thought of that, they are totally gunna kill every chick they pick up, wowsers that is impressive.

He is at Rensselaer in NY.
I sent him to high school.
I burned out and was not sure I could do the advanced maths that he required for Engineering college.
He did so well in high school. I think I swallowed too much of the negative comments that Homeschooling would ruin him.
There is always someone trying to make the parents feel like we are destroying our children's' futures with our non-conformity.
