We're talking about 264 black Angus cows, a few of them with calves. I would be laughing at the poo in the yard, though I doubt anyone else would find it funny! What's wrong with a little bit of free shoe, um, polish! I'm sure laughing would earn me the job of cleaning up though, so I'll keep the giggles to myself. And that is if the herd storms the yard. Still hoping it doesn't get too cold until December.
But...it is really cold tonight. I was just outside standing in the coop door and turning the light on and off while my mom and dad worked to reset and rewire and redo everything to get the light working so my sweet birdies wouldn't freeze. Now my fingers are cold.
Also, I just got back from our county's 4-H banquet, where each kid gets a plaque with a picture and everyone gets to hear about all of your accomplishments. Not to brag (seriously

), but it took about ten minutes to work through all of my fair winnings, county and state. It was pretty fun! And I got a bucket. A green bucket with a chick feeder and waterer. How awesome is that?! Being Grand Champ has its perks!

proud of your acomplishments.. many, many, many moons ago I did 4-H with my Bull that followed like a pup

@penny1960 Thanks so much! We only do chicken 4-H because large animals are too much work when we are running the ranch and everything. But it's cool that you used to do 4-H! It really is an awesome program and being in a small county really helps you get to the top. I really enjoy it!
