six week old chicks and four week old chicks HELP

Naa. Birds would appear extremely ill. OP says they're eating well and don't appear affected by it.

I found no indication of any bevavioral changes, in regard to symptoms for gangrenous dermatitis, but reviewing the three following links makes me doubt this one as well ... there's been no mortality reported, and there's been enough time pass that there'd be red or dark coloring in the affected areas, and they'd be more prone to appear in different areas.

I still suspect this to be bacterial, based just upon the way ...
typed by a recovering bird, that can't resist the clicking of the keys: iji7hj
... it looks, but it still could be a fairly long list viral causes, including Merek's.

Without more information, including updates as to any change, or additional symptoms? I'm still just guessin' here ...

From your 1st link on gangrenous dermatitis, 3 paragraphs down, it says: "Affected chickens are extremely depressed, lethargic, and prostrate, and die within 8-24 hr." That would be an extreme behavioral change. Doesn't fit OP's case at all.

I'm blind as a bat, so skimmin' w/ one eye just ain't such a good idea ... saw the 8-24, but missed the rest -- thanks for the correction.

And, agreed, after lookin' at where, and how, it appears: Doesn't fit, at all.
Best I can do, rather than continuing to erroneously guess, is wait for additional information (or, for somebody else to connect the dots ~'-)

Its very odd to me they act normal but yet their overlook is ill. yesterday I moved the older ones out to the hay barn which is no longer for hay. an all seem to be well their really isn't no change some of them are balled with lumps. my mother decided it would be ok to mix some corn in their start an grow ????? i read something about fat deposits haveing the same effect?????? an the baldness is only occuring on the smaller ones in the clutch, so i am trying to be optomisic an say the balldness is from their usual pecking order. their were 17 birds in a cage the size of a large dog kennel.I am keeping a eye on them an my fingers crossed. the haybarn is also going to be their new coop an they are out of the kennel so wish me luck an thank you for your replies an i will update their status. i still have 20 chicks in the bulding that show no signs yet but i split them up in sets of ten.

As janinepeters helped me to realize, I'm just guessin' w/o additional information. But, these aren't just pecking issues, as each bald are clearly shows signs of something (bacterial or viral, I don't really know). Short of having it identified microscopically, or culling one for a determination, it's almost impossible to know what should be done ... you read over these other posts, and do a bit of research, and let me know if I can be of any help.

Agree with this. Does not look like feather picking/pecking. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't look like picking.

The spots look to be appearing where birds normally get banged up a bit while in close quarters, but that these nicks/scratches/plucks wind up becoming entry points for [some form of organism]. <-- it's the not knowing what it is that'd have me worried, as this could potentially be a huge health risk.

Ok I am having a day kids dropped my computer an cracked screen an this form don't work well on my iPhone any suggestions for that issue now for the real deal I have three options I have sulmet antibacterial or duramycin-10 antibiotic they got probiotic today I have no clue what this is all I know is they seem to be fine but they are getting bald an the lumps have not gotten bigger they pretty much same an now the younger 20 are starting to show signs but this is odd it is mainly in the black ones any sugguestions on which meds I should go with all input would be helpful an thank u for your replies
