I have four little 6 week old silkies. The little buff has had red in his little black peanut of a comb for a few weeks now and is protective of the others. They have been out on supervised free range by my twelve big 10 week old EEs for several days now. The big girls tried to intimidate the silkies in gangs at first since they are bigger and more numerous but that has slacked off.

Today the little brat buff decided that all the dirt patches were silkie property and attacked and chased off the bigger birds. He's like a quarter their size!

Puff out that chest and stand tall, then let them meet the feet. I can hear him yelling "You will respect my authority"!

Yep, they can be so silly. Wait til he hits chickie puberty and decides those big girls are irresistable. [IMG]
