Silkie saga

@TwoCrows here are photos of Max! It's such a worried looking little chick, I'm really hoping this pure white cutie is a pullet! I think "she" is going to be a beautiful one šŸ„°

And Star, I think this is the floofiest of all the silkies I've ever hatched šŸ¤£ it looks like a huge chunky chick, but it's just all floof šŸ˜

How old are these guys?

How old are these guys?
These both hatched December 17th so 5 weeks old! Star is a purebred silkie from an egg I got from a breeder, Max is from a white EE hen and a white TSC silkie roo. I set 14 eggs from the breeder (they had been on vacation and didn't know how old the eggs were etc) just the one hatched, so thankfully I had put some eggs from my coop in there that developed. I was selling the two silkie cockerels, they had been in a bachelor coop, but they busted out and got in with the girls 4 days before I was selling them so... I set some eggs šŸ¤£

At five weeks, Max has a pretty large developing comb, so I hate to say it but...I think he's a cockerel. I could be wrong but for a comb that large at 5 weeks is usually a boy sign. Hopefully your other one is a girl!
