Skunk trapping tips...

We have had issues with a skunk too, and it took a while to finally get it. I tried most of the items mentioned in my live trap, and nothing worked. We had to cull some roosters, so I put some of the guts in my trap. Bingo, the skunk fell for it. You could buy chicken livers or gizzards to use. One tip that helped us, was to tie a long rope to your trap before you set it. That way you can drag the trap, away from your house with out getting sprayed before you shoot it. We drug our skunk down the road, and DH shot it in the trap. It never did spray, not even with a bullet in it.

I trapped skunk for a few years and I was using 220 sized conibears they were real dead when I go t to them ( 24 hr checks) and they never sprayed

I use a remote controlled shotgun (don't use bullet firearms for this) and an infrared camera for the cleaver animals. I just watch my monitor inside the house and when they cross the line of fire, that is marked with reflectors only the camera can see, I let them have it.
