Sled dog breeding

I see your point. As a musher i can kinda tell which one i would pick but since i don't show huskies i don't know their show faults.

I am still learning. But I have purchased books, read the AKC conformation codes with show dog people, and gone to shows. If I can see the fault, it's a big one. For every fault I see, I miss 1 or 2. I am studying hard so I can have realistic expectations for Phantom. Right now at 9 months old he weighs 50.6 pounds, and he can't get over 60 pounds at full growth. If he don't slow down growing he may wash out of conformation showing due to size.

Breeders have to put there puppy's on. Pound can't do it. It's only for breeders. Google puppyfinder.com or I can get a link,

For a sleddog i wouldn't do it. i like to meet musher and either buy dogs from them or mushers they recommend. It's safer. Also for your fist team, don't start with pups. Start with dogs that have some experience. Even Meringue, who was 1 when i got her the first time, had experience. She lead puppy teams who knew nothing. Thats just me though. Each musher has their own thing.

Ok a few things;
1) what do I need to look for in a sled dog puppy?
2) what 3 breeds do you guys recommend? It gets hot here, and they'll be out side dogs from the age of 6months.
3) should I breed? It will only be once if the pairing got good or better on there hips and elbows.
4) nala is getting SOOOOOOO much better at mushing!!! She takes off now! And she's getting most commands down!!

So
1) In order to answer that I need to know what type of mushing you will be doing. Rec, distance, sprint, etc.
2) Lab for rec and sprint, they are not so good at distance. Short haired, hound-type Alaskan huskies (My personal fave), German short haired pointers for rec and sprint. I will try to think of more distance dogs. Mainly short haired sporting dogs are good.
3) same answer as #1. I need to know what type of mushing you are doing.
4) YAY FOR NALA! Give her a "good dog" hug for me :)

I'll be doing rec. I was thinking of short haired sibs(like nala, labs and another breed.
I don't think il breed. I'll wait until I decide if mushings for me. Then I'll move to Alaska so I have more space.
