What kind of flower? Better take it out as some might be poisonous to chickens.

another just died. I don't think it's the temp. My other chickens possibly could have CRD, but we have been super careful about germs, but could it be passed on to them? Would MG at such a young age kill them?

I have a clutch of legbars that just hatched Saturday and one of the little roos was like this. Just very listless and sleepy. I knew by Monday morning that he was on his way out - but thought I’d try some nutri-drench and give him a little more time. I separated him to prevent him from being trod upon or pecked at by the others.
His eyes were cloudy this morning, when he briefly opened them. He was gone by mid-afternoon. Poor little guy. No idea what could have been wrong, as he hatched unassisted and had no visible/physical indicators that something was wrong.

I’m so sorry your chicks are dying. Keep us posted as to what you discover could be the problem. I doubt it would be the shavings, but I give my babies the baby grit in case they do ingest some. I hope you find the solution.

Can you get some photos of their poop?

You mention MG (CRD). Are the chicks displaying any symptoms?

Their poop is normal, maybe a little tinted pink, but they have no symptoms, no sneezing or anything and they are fine. The next day, they become sleepy and die.

sugar water. soak bread in it and feed it to the chick. it will be like giving sugar to a child. hope this helps
