I know, right?! It's been bothering me for SO long. I thought someone may have stolen it, but no one ever goes in "the thicket". Either this is a very strange proposal from my BF (who gave me the ring in the first place), or a chicken with expensive taste. If she never lays an egg, she's certainly paid for herself!

Long time no visit BYC! Hello and Merry Christmas to my peeps

Well, EIGHT months down the road, "Runt Feathers" (still a Small hen!) laid an egg. Here she is full-grown in the Fall sun, and with her first little egg:
