It really doesn't look like anything is in there. Are you seeing veins or movement at all? If theres no veins, its likely not alive. If you want to crack it you'll have to pull it before it rots.

I think it's a reptile egg from last year's breeding season, that either never developed, or the nest was predated, and this egg was carried off.I still so no yolk, no veins and no wild bird egg.
This looks very very very much like a duck fairy egg.
Breeding season for the birds/reptiles/amphibians (and whatever turtles are) people have listed hasn't started yet.
The ducks have access to the area the egg was found.
I agree, this egg looks exactly like a yolkless Muscovy egg.still so no yolk, no veins and no wild bird egg.

most reptile eggs dont have hard shells like bird eggs. Looks more like a bird egg to me... But I dont know a ton about reptilesI think it's a reptile egg from last year's breeding season, that either never developed, or the nest was predated, and this egg was carried off.
black dot? Not any sign of red or veins? What about the yolk? I'd be so interested to see a photo of the egg being candled! Might help us figure it outYes, it has been in the incubator for 1 week, and there is a black dot with some dark around it. Idk if that means it is live or not.
I will post some pics soon, although I'm pretty sure its nothing.black dot? Not any sign of red or veins? What about the yolk? I'd be so interested to see a photo of the egg being candled! Might help us figure it out
