Small end of egg clear when candled on day 17

Would it be ok if I moved the 3 hatched chicks to the brooder? They are trampling the hatching chicks and even pecking them. The brooder is ready for them.

Also, I’m not sure what this little guy is doing. It’s been like this all morning.

Myself, I would grab the 3 out and quickly move them to the brooder, grab that egg and remove the cap - the air cell end. Check the membrane inside, I would expect the chick to push right out, but let it do it on its own.

I've never seen it before but maybe she is shrink wrapped in there? Maybe dried out? I am not sure. Hope she is okay.

Should I take off more shell? Or try peeling the membrane? I hope she’s ok too.

I've heard of people using Vaseline? Just to keep the membrane flexible. Don't tear it, there could be vasculature still in it

Good idea. And the humidity is at 79% so it is plenty humid.

It looks like she is zipping without the air cell. I think she is going to do it on her own. The other is zipping now too!
