Smallest Egg Ever?

Yeah, all five of my BRs are pullets. The one closest to the cam is my most mature and daily layer. The one in the background maybe the one laying the "rubber eggs", not sure.

Awe, they're both so cute! I kinda prefer my BR's to my RIR's. Hoping when my RIR's start laying they'll be friendlier and not freak out when I pick them up, but for now, my BR's get the secretive favoritism. :p Funnily enough, I suppose, my two girls that look like yours are my meanest. :lau Love to peck at my fingers. My grandpa says all my BR's look the same, but I can tell them apart by each little dot on their nose.:lau

Sorry, follow up question! :p I haven't tried it yet, but is the yolk supposed to come out, or just the egg white? Will the yolk rot in there, or just shrivel up and disappear? lol Would rather find out from someone who does it than from it rotting wherever I put it in a few weeks. :sick Made that mistake once when my grandpa somehow lost an egg and it got smashed - left the kitchen smelling like rotten egg for maybe a month! We tried all kinds of things to get rid of it. Who knows if it's really gone, maybe I'm just used to it.:sick
Yes, you want all of the liquid parts out, I use a syringe to squirt water back inside afterwards to flush out any remaining egg stuff, but it's not necessary, just get all the liquid egg out. I tried to use the syringe to take the egg out, but that's a super long process, faster for me to just blow it out.

Yep you got to get it all out. Once you get it started most of the time you can gently pull most of the egg out. As has been said you can also just sit the egg out and eventually it will just dry out until it's hollow. Got to be super careful doing this since until it's hollow it is pretty much a disaster waiting to happen. If I didn't have a big clumsy husband I would do this method more often. :) I have to add don't ever try to blow out an ostrich egg.I did it once to make a night light out of it. Took hours to do and it felt like id been slapped by Mike Tyson I do not recommend.

Thank you. :) I'll probably try using the syringe to squirt water in, too. After my first rotten egg fiasco, I don't ever want that to happen again.

Alright, thanks. :D I have a shed outside so I might blow out what I can and then set it out to dry out anything I missed. My grandpa's pretty clumsy, too. :p He cleans anything he sees, even if it isn't dirty, so he has a tendency to throw things away that my family wants to keep.:p And jeez, an Ostrich egg?! I don't think I'd be able to do that, either. :hmm:lau How'd the nightlight turn out?
