Smelly run... what to do?

I used a bag of mulch I bought from a local garden, it is a mix of hardwood that is not colored or treated. I could have got the same for free probably but wasn’t sure where to go and I needed to fix it immediately haha.

Excellent....immediate need is why I suggested the bagged mulch.

I appreciate it I feel a lot better, I don’t smell the coop when I walk out my back door. Long term I think we need to do more but for now, it’s back under control.

I remember when my grass run first turned to slimy stinky dirt...
...just a thin layer of some straw and pine shavings took care of it within a day until I found some aged wood chippings.
