the TSC in sevierville by me now, had guinea keets for five dollars about a week ago when was there last, and was supposed to get more and turkeys as well. Ive had these hatchery bantams for at least about two months for my buddy, but he hasnt been able to get them yet, and part of me doesnt want to take them back, as know they wont do well at all again.. he says at times that i can find better homes if i can, and im considering putting add up for some or keeping some. they are looking to be: two white silkie mixes. one silkie cochin mix. one silkie serama mix. one OEGB EE/ameraucana mix. two black austrolorps. im not going to try to tell what i think sexes, as anyone who got poults from me before knows im terrible at it apparently.
So.. finally found a place out in country enough to do some decent hobby farming! this place has a fertile field bordered by a stream for crops that used to be farmed, with rich soft fertile soil still. a spring that feeds water up to the surface, and to an open pump well, with another spring feeding a fish pond that was dug out. also it has two chicken coops, one or two goat pens, and a dog run or two. the guy said i can have chickens and goats and use the pens even. ill be back in cocke county out down the road from my fam, so lets hope that works out well, and my ma and gma dont out fish the pond, though then i could fix it up and plant nice water plants in and around it to spruce up (it has supposedly one huge catfish, two koi, and seen some of the huge bluegills). so starting and have been trying to set all up and get ready to move.
