We use that bird netting over our pen. Pine needles & cones always foul it up & it's easy to replace. It's bunched up around the sides.
I was in the pen, dumping the dirt out of my kids bowls. I heard something above me. Checked it out and saw nothing. (I was remembering the post here of the giant snake in the rafters)
I came back later to put fresh grain down and noticed something awry. Something awfully L-O-N-G awry.
Of course, I shrieked like a little girl. Then I ran to get my camera!
Mr Rat snake got hung up in the netting. Did a bang up job of getting stuck.
I guess he might have come out of one of the trees.
He did not survive his brush with the netting. I had seen the pictures here of other snake encounters with the netting.
It was over 6 foot long. That big of a snake puts me into hyper spazz mode.
Little ones - no problem. Giant anacondas? Big problem.
We had been missing eggs. Now I know why.
