Thank you, Sarah. I LOOOOVE KSBs!! They always have tons at the reptile shows, but I always wind up finding something different, lol. Yeah, i know how that goes. Luckily my uncle built me a snake rack for Christmas, so housing is a whole lot easier now!

My DH is terrified of snakes, though I love them, so that's one off-limit pet for me...

I see corns around here very infrequently. They always give me a start....and they do scare me, since I have baby blue birds here in the spring, but I have learned that they are good to have around, and now just move them to the back of the property on the rare occasions that I see them. Believe me, it took a long time before I could look at a snake and realize the good they do, and how tough they have it on their own, so I do leave them alone, and try to admire their beauty.

But they still skeer me....

Thanks, Suess!! Piper is a white-sided grey rat snake. Its a mouthful, haha. I'll add a better picture of her body at the end of this message, they are really gorgeous snakes.

Thanks, Cozy! I appreciate your comment on Piper, she's really popular today! lol. Ahh, my parents are the same way! I got Chester for getting good grades all year. Then I ordered Irwin and Sui from Kathy Love, and she threw in Hannah and Corwin for free. Then I met a local breeder for Dawson (By then, I think my parents had cracked

). My sister told me my mom told me I could get one snake at the reptile show, so I grabbed Piper. When I got home, my mom made it clear that she didnt say that, but its not my fault my sis cant hear!

Just work on him, we need more chicken lovers out there who own snakes!

Halo, I appreciate you making the effort to live with snakes. Most people just decapitate them and run off screaming like a little child. Pure ignorance if you ask me. They're really beneficial animals. An animal with no legs that slides around on its belly to get around is a little frightening, but most people are pretty scary as well.

Here is the pic of Piper I promised. It shows her body a little more. She's still kind of pink because she's young, but her sides will be solid white, with the occassional speckle.
