Sneezing and not eating treats

I've got a 19 week old pullet who didn't come out for treats today. She was hiding behind a little bush close to the rest of the flock. I went out to check on her after an hour to see if she had moved from her spot but she hadn't. I had noticed a couple sneezes but nothing too excessive. I went to go get her but she's very flighty and had enough energy to run away from me. I didn't want to stress her out more so I left her.

No signs of shortness of breath. We've been going through a heat wave but I didn't notice any signs of heat exhaustion either. I considered that she could be egg bound but there's been no signs that she could be laying soon, such as crouching.

I'd watch to make sure she's not being bullied by the flock and kept from food/water.

At that age, some pullets can be a bit more timid than others and if she's starting to come into lay, she may be hiding out a bit more than usual, they can act a bit funny during this time.

She may have also been resting in the shade if you are having hot weather, many birds just lounge about during the heat of the day.

A couple of sneezes can be due to anything, from getting something in the nostrils to respiratory illness. If she's not consistently sneezing, then I'd just monitor her for now.

The most important things are to know she's getting to eat and drink.

Just an update: she still doesn't seem like herself. I gave the rest of the flock some high value treats away from her and tried to put pellets right in front of her so that she'd eat but she showed no interest. I considered trying to catch her again, but I don't have a safe place to put her out of the heat (it got up to 99 degrees here today).

Anyway, I posted a video of her closing her eyes/sleeping. She's been doing this on and off yesterday and today and I believe this is new before her which has me worried.

Try to gather her up in the morning when it cooler and check her over really well.

Does she have any mucous, facial swelling, bubbles in the eyes?
Lice/mites?
Crop emptying?
Photos of her poop?

Have you treated for Coccidiosis and/or worms?

I'd watch to make sure she's drinking well and see if you can entice her to eat some wet mushy feed.

I don't see a video, if you can upload to the Gallery and provide a link that would be good. If not, then provide a link to your video from youtube.

Here's the video. I went out to check on them after sunset to make sure she made it to the coop. She actually came down from the roosting bar while I was there with a flashlight to drink some water and then went back up.

No mucous, swelling, or bubbles.

I'll have to inspect her for lice/mites tomorrow though I did treat the coop with permethrin a few weeks ago. Will have to check her crop tomorrow too.

I haven't treated for coccidiosis or worms. I did buy some safeguard but that won't be here till Friday. I do have aquasol on hand that I could maybe draw up in an insulin syringe if necessary.

Let me know what her crop is like when you check it first thing in the morning.

Your girls are lovely. I do see what you mean, there's something a bit off with her. Get some photos of the overnight droppings if possible.
