If you're looking for opinions, I would say its an overall bad idea. That will be a lot of undue stress on the ducks part just simply for are amusement of them dressed up in costumes. Consider the dogs/cats that will be out while you're walking them, the kids, which may try to play with the ducks and subsequently end up scaring them, and lastly the whole part of them being in costumes is going to stress them out unless you have had them in costumes before. Birds, and most animals, do not like being dressed up.

Of course, this is your decision so if you want to bring them trick or treating, go for it. I guess I don't see the point in it?

She said they have been dressed up before, and that they go on adventures all the time so the scare factor might be okay. I still think it might be safer to just hand out candy with them there, mostly because of the dog factor. We had a dog kill our Mallard once, it was terrible.

they get dressed up almost everyday (diapers, bandanas, bows, outfits, harnesses, etc) so are completely okay with it. they don’t LOVE dogs but aren’t scared of them or cats. they love people, and if they were to be overwhelming our neighborhood isn’t very big and they could go straight home

you would have to play it by ear, you just don't want a dog to attack the duck. Especially since you will have them on harnesses, then the duck can't get away. I love your idea though! You just might wan to check with all the people going trick or treating, so you can be prepared for there dogs, and know if the dogs will attack ducks.

i don’t understand what you mean by stress. my ducks are pets, not livestock. they have been raised like loved pets their whole lives and are completely used to people and dressing up. what kind of stress would happen?
