Yeah just think how many you can cram in your bedroom now that there won't be socks or grundies on the floor in the way. HMMM I can get around in a little walkway. maybe you can install linoleum throughout the house and let them freerange in the hallways! Have a try at it. See ya!!!

My DH says he loves me more than he hates chickens - so I have chickens!

He doesn't want to smell them, either, he said if he got within 20 feet of the barn, he agrees that it's his fault he's smelling them

But keeping him out of the barn makes it impossible for him to know how many chickens I have!

I was never gonna get chickens till hubby waid he wanted fresh eggs. So I started reading about chickens. 2 incubators and a few dozen chicks later.....

I asked him what kind of chicken HE wanted? He wanted Silver Laced Wyandottes, Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orpingtons. Well the Silvers and Reds are on the way and now so are the Buff's (Thanks Scott!).

It's a compromise but it works. After all, they're all cute, his and mine!

As the husband who now cares for the chicks after wife came down with illness it has become a time for her and I to sit talk and enjoy time together. You never know when you will run out of sunrises to watch together.

So true... one of life's simple pleasures is kicking back in the afternoon sun or evening watching the chickens...

This is the key. We checked out birds together. I wanted orps so did he. But then he discovered Polish and Turkens...so guess what we have now! That's right, all three kinds.

He gets "mad" when he sees I bought eggs or made an order for chicks, but he gets over it quickly when he goes out to play with "his" birds. Now I have to breed Lavender Turkens!!!

But if it keeps him happy and off my case about my ebay orders, so be it.
