i am wondering also how you handle so many roos. are they seperated? i LOVE them too but am afraid of the fighting. let me know how you handle that.

i have them all in seperate coops. Right now only 2 of my roosters get the pleasure of being with my ladies. When i get more hens, each fella will get his fair share.
Everyone is happy here

i talk to all of them and pet them LOL.

I would like to start a rooster sanctuary. Most cant have roosters where they are, or just dont want roosters period.

I gotta start a website... thats for sure.

Anywho, 4 of my boys were free ranged together at one time and they all got along, there were NO HENS with them, but they also have 4 acres to run, so that helped them keep the piece. they werent must for fighting.

Does everyone separate their roo's??

Right now I have 3 Silkies, 1 Sebright, 2 OE Bantams, and an Aracauna...

The Aracauna is in a large dog Kennel in the Coop-- both for the protection of my Bantam females, but also for HIS protection- as the Silkies tear out his tail...

All the other boys live together in the coop with the girls...

SO FAR no real fighting--- once in a while a chase ensues.... but thats it...

But I do not want to wait until there is a fatality or bad injury to find out I shouldn't leave em together....??????
