So...My fears.

Maybe they just want to become BLOOD brothers.

My husband keeps teasing me that he is going to switch my duck eggs with turkey eggs when I start incubating. I'm pretty sure he won't dare try this, as I am notorious for going a little too far when it comes to revenge... that and I would probably have a panic attack when they hatched.

Turkey's are smarter that we think, and they can smell your fear, and will terrorize you till you show no fear! Just kidding, we raised a turkey and he was the sweetest thing! It was hard when we had to butcher him1 next time we will make sure we get a heritage breed so if we get attached we won't have to go through with butchering! If you handle them a lot I bet they would be pretty friendly!

Aww, butchering a pet sucks.

Funny/messed up story of my childhood: growing up I always wanted a Chihuahua, instead my parents get me a potbellied pig. We all love this pig. We had to relocate for a year while my dad followed his work, and had a friend care for our pig on their farm... we get home our pig is huge. They give us a new pot belly piglet. This piglet hates everyone but me. Starts letting out the dogs...so my dad shot it and grilled it that night. It was a delicious pet.

At least turkey are things that can really hurt you....me....my greatest fear (I have more than a few) is dark bathrooms *shrug* No reason I can think of other than maybe because growing up there was ALWAYS a nightlight in the bathroom....but I'll freak out and cry if someone turns the light out on me or the power goes off when I'm in the bathroom....

Lol...My grandmother is afraid of worms...I can kinda see a dark bathroom...a lot of horror movies have pretty bad death scenes in a bathroom.

It's definitely not good to have something in your yard you're afraid of. That's not the way to overcome the fear, if this is what you want -- not at all fair to the turkey, if nothing else. Please don't do this.

Oh if we hatched one, and I decided a turkey wasn't for me I have a friend who raises them that he'd live happily with. It was more a passing thought though, as I'm waay too chicken to actually go through with it.

Go on try one. After all its only until Christmas
