brown, and you can add two other people too for brown. Today I took a basket of eggs to a church fund raiser and offered a two of the organizers there that I knew their choice of eggs. The basket had dark red brown marans eggs, lighter marans eggs, tinted tan eggs, light tint and white and some green ones. Each person went straight for the dark marans eggs even though they had never seen an egg that color before.

If he's planning on selling eggs-- I suggest he either offer "mixed" colors to everyone, or do mixed in the beginning and see if his customers have a preference. My guess is once they taste them, they won't care-- as long as they taste good.

White eggs seem funny to me--- kind of like they are missing something... but if I end up with a white layer-- I'll still be happy!

brown or white for me, brown seems to be bigger though so if i were to get egg layers, would most likely be brown egglayers
