Hi from Josie in Blackburn South Vic Australia.

I am a passionate egg-laying 'pet' lover,

Beatrice (who answers to Smudge), Pippa and Sophie were all adopted after a catastrophe with a *fox* (not native to Australia but in plague proportions in our area) killing but not eating our darlings who were our friends and family... Vale Daisy - an elderly chicken and matriarch of 7 years who raised others and survived all sorts of issues (heat, illness and attack), little Isabella - dumb as a post but super sweet, and feisty Daphne who fought to the end - including the fox (witnessed as I chased it with a rake!).

Our new friends were in a cage from day old until we met them. We have an open house policy in our garden, so it took a few days for our ladies to become accustomed to the presence of Giant Flemish bunnies and a large expance of lawn and scratching areas... and rain...

It is my joy to sit in the garden now and be gently greeted by my three girls (and the bunnies) I love their presence. They are wonderfully individual and each has her own charm.

I am blessed...

Cheers for now

Josie
