Hello boys and girls! I'm a new member/poster here at BYC. I've used the site for information for months now, but finally decided to enlist. I'm raising my initial batch of chickens (4 Black Australorps and 4 Ameraucanas). Seven ladies and one very loud gent in that pile. Supposed to be 8 ladies, but the rooster was wise enough to sneak into the bachelorette party! Looking forward to my spring purchases; going to add 30 more and probably 6 ducklings. I want to start selling eggs locally, so I'm gunning for the rainbow dozen.

Chickens are the gateway drug to farming...and, yes...I'm now an addict.

I hope I can add to the knowledge here!
