So......what breed would you NOT have again----which ones didn't stick

Now I do have 2 colors of banatm leghorns, mille d'Uccles, Modern Game bantams, Cochin bantams, Silkies, Seramas and OEGbantams. I had some Wyandotte and Orpington bantams before.

I am not so excited about either the Seramas or the OEGbantams. They are just noisy and hyper. But I havent had them all that long so maybe I will change my mind.

BTW: My leghorns are very nice.

Anconas - Males are very aggressive, even as chicks. It took about a year for the egg size to get up to size from pullet eggs. She still does not lay very regular.

Sebrights - pretty birds, but... meh, just not my cup 'o tea. They all look the same, and the males have a bad case of "little man" syndrome.

I would not get another Silver Campine, even though Audrey is a pretty bird.
She's flighty, unsociable, and persistently loud. We must clip her wings. She has stopped laying eggs already and it's not even dark until after 6pm.

I can't believe how many of y'all said you wouldn't have brahmas again because of messy feathered feet. The only time mine have nasty feet is if it has rained alot and they've decided to stay out in it. Even then their feet are only wet and are dry within half an hour of going into the coop.
The difference may be that mine are on pasture, very little dirt. They have two favorite dirt piles they like to dust bathe in, but most of the time they are on grass.

Polish . . . crazy, and I hate having to clip feathers so close to their eyes. I feel too sorry for them to just leave them blind.
And . . . with any luck I will never have silkies again, but they're my SO's bird of choice. They just look so unlike chickens that I can't seem to get attached to them, and I absolutely hate how their feathers feel when you touch them. Awfully sweet, though

RIR and Leghorns (tho I still have 2 of each of each type still). The Leghorns spaz out when I go in their runs....I get worried they are going to break their necks flailing like that against the fence at the other side. Then the RIR think they are top of the food chain and get very feisty.

Well that is a hard question really...let me see I would never own another OEG...flighty and nasty (at least the three we had growing up), No RIR rooster EVER too mean (at least every one we hador that I have been around),

I love all my girls now but I spend tons of time with them and have from day 1.

My red cochin is a little freak, Attacks buttons, my ring, my shoe laces and bit my lip once but she is easy to handle and pet. My Partirdge Rock is a bit skittish but not a problem.
