So......what breed would you NOT have again----which ones didn't stick

I haven't had a lot of the breeds mentioned here yet. I can see where many don't like Sebrights due to the flighty behavior. My RIR roo is 7 months old and so far *knock on wood* he's been laid back. Ours are a utility RIR from local farm. I LOVE the hens. They're so nosey when I go in to feed they're swamp around me and are easy to pet.

I don't like my Ameraucana rooster. I feel that if one is going to come after me or be aggressive its him. But so far he hasn't.

I'm thinking about ordering a Rainbow layer assortment for eggs but now I'm doubting it with all the talk about so many layers being problems. LOL

I know I won't have NN or Turkens or Showgirls. They're just too ugly for me.

I have a RIR rooster who is a complete angel. He always has been. He is very protective of his girls and is never agressive with them (bald backs). My least favorite is a big Black Australope rooster. We have one that my grandson claimed on the first day. He always knew who lucky was even as a chick, Now hes the biggest meanest bird we own. He terrorizes the other roosters, attacks you when you enter the run. has been know to jump on your back. He also charges the fence as you walk past. If it wasn't for my grandson That bird would be in the pot.

I wouldn't have another Polish rooster again. Then again, it might have just been him. From the day I got him, we called him "D.A.". Short for Dumb-a$$.

I had a thread a while ago that was a bit similar... "What is your LEAST favorite breed?"

I don't like showgirls or NN, but I've never had them... I like all the breeds we've had.

I don't like the look. But I have never had any either. People who have them seem to love them. Maybe the personality wins them over.

If you ever had NN you would love them! I have three.

I wouldn't have a Cookoo Maran rooster again I had to rehome mine it wouldn't stop attacking my grandson. My grown nephew took him he liked the way he looks and is going to make mutts with him.
I wouldn't have Sultans again they are very sweet I have 2 hens, but they don't even come out of the coop to free range with the rest and My White rock jumped on one of them while she was at the waterer and would have drowned her if I hadn't heard the ruckus. which brings me to why I won't have rocks again.
As far as the cochins mine never get dirty, but they free range and are on grass most of the time.
I love my black langshan's the hen is beautiful with her curly back feathers and she's so soft and fluffy. And she's huge, her name is BFH (big fat hen). And the Roo is very mild mannered.

I'm shocked at how many Polish are listed here for least fav breed. Mine is the sweetest bird I have and she is always at our feet begging for us to pick her up. Not flighty at all and shes sweet to everyone and everything. I want to get 10 MORE!

She is a doll!

Now what I would not get again is a welsummer IF they are all like mine. All she does is complain and BAAAAWWWWKKK all day long. She wants to be out free ranging 24/7 and until we let her out she is complaining. And she is only laying like one egg a week at 2 yrs. At a year she was already slowing down alot. She would give us 4 eggs a week and than take a 3 week break! That happened all the time. Never broody though..so that was a plus. And I DO love the dark brown eggs when we do get them.

I debated on posting this.....but I am anyways!!
