So, what is your job?

I was a groomer for 17 yrs. until illness (RA and FMS) ended my career. Owned my own salon for about 11 of those yrs. Now I'm on disability. Oh I really miss grooming!

I always liked Andis clippers.

I tried Wahl and Oster and didn't care for them as much.
I have Wahl now and do not like them they take forever

There are some really interesting jobs out there... trout hatchery! wow! Such a variety!

I'm on the boring end of the scale... I work for a software development company. My other half is self employed, so I also do his paperwork after my 9-5 has finished. As he's not yet earning (anything!), I also import fish every couple of months to get a bit of cash to spend how I like. Is it any wonder I don't get much time with the chooks? I'd go mad if it weren't for them, though; I hate being stuck at a desk for 9+ hours a day.

The Andis AG Super 2 speed and the Andis AGC Super 2 speed (or the Andis UltraEdge 2 speed if you want more color choices) are the ones I used. The Andis AG are kinda boxy, but the Andis AGC are rounded and fit nicer in your hand. They were able to go through any coat with no problem and no lagging. They aren't a home kit though...they're the kind professionals use. You'd have to use detachable blades with them. They worked awesome for me though. I bought most of my equipment through PetEdge (petedge dot com)...they have pretty good prices and were always nice to work with.

Agreed AG are the easiest to fix and maintain, AGC take a but not patients but not bad. Petedge is super awesome

I am a Forecast and Staffing Analyst for a Cable TV Company. Kind of boring and stuck at a desk for 9 hours a day, but it pays the bills. At this point I am just grateful that I have a job!

I am a home health nurse. I just love this BYC site. Sometimes my job gets pretty stressful. This site is nothing but fun for me. I have talked to other people who feel the same way I feel about my little chickies. They help me learn things to make my birds happy and healthy. I have found a way to have a special project with my grandchildren and am supported in my thoughts by BYC people. Just today I found a place on the site for people to write articles. So I did. Now my husband is at home (he has a nursery- trees no babies) watching for the little ones (chickens) to do something cute so he can take a picture to go with my article.

I'm a full-time wife and mother. I'm a part-time doctor, lawyer, and Indian Chief (and specialize in covert ops on the occasion).
Actually, the part-time "hats" worn are pertinent to the kids. -have had to be many things and do many things whilst raising small, active, and inquisitive children and squirly, sly, and stealthy teenagers. -also, edit for a financial publication from home. Life is good!

I served 8 years in the Marine Corps infantry and am now a full-time farrier.

My wife is a home hospice social worker.
