I figured one of you ladies could steer me in the right direction.

Hiyall,

First, thank you for your well wishes ... so very much!

Next, prayers are always appreciated and welcome. Right now we need the doctors to be able to find out what is wrong in my back. For almost a year now nobody can find it and it's getting worse.

The surgery is for a spinal stimulation implant, if that doesn't work ... as a last ditch effort ... possibly a morphine pump.

There are other issues connected to all this, but prayers for the main issue to be healed OR to show itself would rock.

I really do dig this place ... you can count on the awesome folks here for anything!

Thanks again from Leilani and I both.

Peace and Grace to y'all!

Don

Don - I'm so sorry to hear that your back isn't healing as hoped. I do hope that they can find an answer for you so that you can make a plan for your future. I imagine all this 'not knowing' doesn't help matters.

In the meantime, please stay with our thread and make plans for the day when you can soap with us again.

Thanks everyone for your offer to review my soap.

I'll be glad to do so for yours as well. As for BYC names or real names, I think that it's up to the individual to do what they feel most comfortable doing.

chiknwhisperer - I hope that you're able to get your supplies and get going again. If you ever order online, Columbus Foods/Soaper's Choice has great prices. Since you're in NW Indiana, I imagine your shipping wouldn't be nearly as high as it is for me. That 50 lb. tub lasts a looooooong time!

Oh, I went to Costco today and picked up more OO. The price has come down significantly since I started this in the fall. The big jug is now $21.99.

I need to sign back up for my Costco account

I had one last year but we never renewed it. You know what sucks? I went to the store and got my coconut oil and I just sat down to start measuring everything out. I don't have enough vegetable shortening

It is still $25.97 here.

Well, that stinks! I think it was $26 something in the fall (I'd have to check my records) and was $23 something the last time I bought it. I was pleased to see the new lower price. Has yours come down to that price or stayed at that level all along?
