Here is a CP recipe for a nice bar that uses Coconut milk, Aloe Vera juice and water as the liquid.
It makes a great base recipe. I like a Fragrance mix I call "Tropical Cooler.
Here's the recipe: I've put the SAP for each oil.
112 oz. Tallow (beef) x (.134) 15.00
2 oz Jojoba x (.134) .13
4 oz Coconut oil x (.1805) .72
4 oz Palm Kernal oil x (.148) .59
12 oz Olive Oil evoo x (.128) 1.53
134 oz total oils 17.97 oz lye
134 x .38 liquid factor = 50.92 oz of liquid (I discount the .92 because of the coconut milk)
Liquid: 24 oz coconut milk
18 oz aloe vera juice
8 oz water
Mix the chilled liquids in a bowl set in cold water. Add the lye in small portions and stir until disolved. Leave in water bath until ready to use.
Melt oils and turn off heat...110 - 115 degrees
Use handheld mixer and stir til trace
I add this fragrance mix for my Tropical Cooler
3 TBS Grapefruit oil OR 3 TBS orange oil
1/2 tsp Rosemary EO
2 tsp Ylang Ylang EO
1 TBS orange extract
4 TBS dried ground Tangerine skin....I cut this so there is very little white pulp, dry and grind in my coffee grinder
This recipe gives a cream colored white bar with a nice lather. The Tangerine gives it a nice speckle.
I can fill my soap mold 4" x 3" x 28"
Made some today...will try to post pictures later.
