Socializing chick tips?

so I’ve got 8 chicks right now that are about 5 weeks. Mama has been taking care of them up until this week.

We been working on hand feeding and handling them each daily. they don’t particularly like being handled, but we’re still trying. Are there other tips for socializing friendly chicks?

I sit with them and hand feed them. This really works if you don’t let them stuff their crops before hand. Sometimes I hold mama hen, but it really comes down to the temperament of your hen.

Gotcha! Mama hen actually got tired of them this week and is back with the rest of the flock. So it is easier to get one-on- one time with the chicks
