Solo newborn got pecked in both ears-- advice?

One week update -

Little chick and her hatchmate are doing SO well with a great Momma hen. They had been residing in this little coopette below in the chicken run - off by themselves, as I locked the rest of the flock in our second run and coop. That way little fragile chick can heal without 'help' from 17 adult hens!

Well, lo and behold - last night, Momma taught these little two (just a week old), how to get up the ramp into the main coop. That coop is 2'4" off the ground (we flood), so that's a LONG way up when you're only 3" tall! I'm so proud of our little chick and a great teaching Momma!

While little chick does seem to get confused a bit (periodically walks in circles around Momma's legs trying to figure out what Momma is asking of her)...overall, I think she's recovered fully! Wohoo!

Congrats on the recovery! Our bird is totally normal, can hear just fine, and the balance issues are gone. She is out in the yard now, in a dog crate, but the mommy hens are not having it. Looks like she will continue to be my roommate for a while. Here's a photo from about a week ago, when she was really skeptical of these leaves and eventually decided to beat them up.

Yeah! I'm so glad your chick has made it! She looks terrific.

I'm not surprised the other hens think she's an adversary. That's our hens' reaction to new (older) chicks as well. I use integration methods to help the two sides come to some sort of agreement - check the 'flock management' section of the forums for more info.

Our chick is still growing along! Momma's doing a GREAT job in training her up. Her sibling has turned out to be a cockeral - which is fine - so Momma hen is busy with her little two. I'd take photos, but it's pouring rain today...and tomorrow...and the next day. But when it does clear up, I'll add a photo.

Amazing strength and determination on these two's parts! Isn't it amazing?!
