Solution to first hatched chick playing"kick ball"with eggs

I've never had a problem with a little soccer game, in fact think it motivates the other to get the heck out..

I think I like that better than egg cartons. In egg cartons there really isn't the room to lay eggs sideways like that, so you either end up with the eggs have to hatch completly up right, or risk them being at an angle and not being able to push free of their egg. I like it..

Ok,, I have mine all in your toilet paper idea. It looks great I"m soo happy. How did the rest of your hatching go?

My chicks are slow to hatch this time around. Chick 3 arrived and cradles still holding strong! None of them have had problems zipping and escaping the eggs. I will probably take my first born out soon because he is picking at the new guy. But so far, so good!

My Idea worked great. I have 5 healthy chicks and 1 who is very weak, but has nothing to do with my cradle idea. I will continue doing it! WooHoo!

Good thing my cradles were all ready to go...I was supposed to go in lockdown today but got up to 4 pips and singing. The turner was still turning so I rapidly removed it and put the eggs on the cradles and added water! Keep your fingers crossed. I am still hearing singing two hours later. Hope nobody shrunk wrapped from lack of humidity.

This idea worked great! Not one egg was rolled and they are hatching with no problems. I'll use this method everytime now.
