If someone's offended by people keeping animals (food reasons or smell reasons or whatever) then they can flag all they want... and it's not that hard to get a friend/fellow flagger to flag just for fun. I know I've seen posts here on BYC where folks have found someone using their pics and we've pitched in to get the person straight.
Good luck in your hunt... maybe if it's another breeder than posting in the next nearest CL might help??
I guess my ad was in the wrong place, it goes in the Items Wanted section------I would have put it there, but I didn't know live animals were "items". The only swap meet coming up isn't until May. Oh, I have now been accused of "goose flipping" by someone responding to me asking why my ad was flagged?!? Weird.

I dunno... I will have to say that in the last 4-6 weeks, there has been a humongous increase in real estate/rental scams on craigslist nation-wide, as we had been house-hunting since the first weekend in March when our landlords told us our place was being sold & we had to move. They are all in the Rentals section and are fake rent-to-own ads. There is someone whose English is *very* poor and is pasting these ads on every CL that I've visited (we were looking for houses in several areas of California as well as Louisiana, southeast Texas, Nevada, and New Mexico). Those scam ads were in every single one of those craigslist markets, and every time I went househunting, I went through and flagged every last one of those scammer ads. In Lake Charles, Louisiana, 75% of the apartments/houses for rent on CL are the fake Rent-to-Own scams.
I'm not someone who has nothing better to do than flag people, but I also hate seeing people who are already obviously struggling financially getting targeted by scammers. It's one thing to target the rich, but it takes a special kind of sick person to target people already at the bottom of the financial barrel.
Well I know what the problem with the CL flaggers is. They are the "Keepers" and you have posted in the "wrong" section. They want you to post in the Wanted section sillies. We get that terrible here in NH also. It is amazing that they know best. If I wanted to find a person that wanted a goose and I was selling one, I would look for that person under Farm & Garden not in the Wanted section. They are typically very literal people or non animal people looking for who knows what?? You can't have a herding dog in Farm & Garden either because they belong under pets
I just got flagged-my first time and I went nuts trying to figure out why-I think I narrowed it down to someone else selling the same thing I was. They were selling them for alot more $ than me! I think that is so rude-I emailed the suspect asking questions about the ad as if I was a buyer and they never got back to me-shady!
I kept getting replies to my ads for real ameraucanas from some snarky little _____. She never asked anything about the birds I had for sale, just off the wall rude comments, so I finally e-mailed her service provider and asked them to not let her e-mail me anymore because it was bordering harassment. Problem solved!

Jean, how would one go about doing that? The only thing I get is a CL email addy thats in alien language so I never know who it is or where it came from?
