Heard this second hand, but the story goes something like this...
A woman has some family over, and asks her husband (in his 30's) to make some scrambled eggs. The day before, she had bought a dozen brown eggs, but she also had a few white eggs from the store, still in the fridge.
Her husband cooks up some scrambled eggs and she remarks that he should have made more. He replies that he ran out of eggs.
"But I just bought a dozen yesterday," she states.
He says, "I looked and looked, but the only other eggs we had were rotten. They had already turned brown, so I threw them out."
The person that told me this story swears it's true, and he personally knows the couple involved, otherwise, I'd be hesitant to believe that anyone could be that naive.
