Some People - Rant

As I work my butt off shoveling out of serious snow banks, my neighbor across the street is getting her "charity" food delivery. The whole time puffing on a cigarette, complaining about "wheat bread, not white". The same woman milks the system for everything she can get, while puffing on a cigarette.

Is it just me that thinks there is something wrong with this picture?

I would love to add to this one!

My mom was telling her boss how we had to replace our furnace. This guy owns 2 restaurants,gets huge tax refunds(by working those numbers),and has his family on FREE state medical care.

Instead of telling her what a great price we got(we did I think) he tells her we should have told the gas company we did not have enough money to pay for a new furnace,and they would install one for free. I am guessing SOMEONE in his family/friend group has done this. It never occured to us to not pay. They always find a way to scam or get things for cheap by lying.

It is one thing if you are really in need,but if you lie for stuff or complain about the free stuff you get then you are not a very nice person imo.

Aren't cigs like $5 a pack now? What a waste of cash that she could spend on food!

It really ticks me off when people, mainly college students my age, complain about not having any money, yet they don't work and party all the time. Then, even though they complain about NOT having money, they somehow have enough to blow it all on alcohol. This age group is a REALLY difficult one to deal with!

That is the whole thing, this woman CAN work, but somehow she got disability. I wonder if the disability folks saw her shoveling out her huge truck so she can DRIVE across the street to her mother's house (my miserable neighbor on my south side), if they would have a problem with that?

I don't deal with snow, so I do not know if walking through it is harder to do than shoveling it, but I have shoveled rock and it is hard work.
so... umm... maybe her disability is mental?

Try listening to Sis complain about her low funds... mind you she gets food stamps, child support, gets a guy to pay the bills, never works... every single WEEK buys her, her DD or one of her sons (or any mix of those) at least one new outfit and/or a new pair of shoes... Oh and they're cruising in a new car, Dodge Avenger I believe it's called... and lets not forget she's saying all this on her cell phone, held by her freshly manicured nails, which BTW match her freshly pedi'd toes and really bring out the color in her fake eyelashes.

Then she asks me if I have eggs to spare. Seriously, you're getting like $400/month if food stamps and you can't afford 59c for eggs... you want mine that I pay way more than 59c a dozen for?
