Cute birds you have...the first photo made me laugh...her look! The chick is so cute. I've had silkies since I was a kid...and I'm pushing 50 now. I got the Polish egg from a breeder and one of my silkies hatched her this spring. I didn't know if I'd like the breed but I just love her...the quirkiness is so cute! I'm going to get more hatching eggs next spring. My camera is a hand me down from my mom. It is a canon 30D. I have a 1.8 50mm lens on it I bought cheap on Amazon. It creates those blurry, creamy backgrounds. I just lay on the grass n wait for a good shot while my birds cruise around me. The neighbours laugh...crazy chicken lady!

My girl is a Golden Laced Wyandotte.
She's broody right now and sitting on one egg. Today is day 20!!!!!! And I candled the egg, there's a chick inside alright! I can't see very well because the chick is keeping the light from getting all the way through. I REALLY hope it hatches!
