You won't regret it. They are just such beautiful birds. And besides that, they have the sweetest temperaments. I handle mine from the time they pop out of the egg and they are so very tame. I let them out of the coop every morning and they stroll over to my house and hang around my gardens. We are considering getting silkies in the spring this year. I really love how fluffy they are!![]()
Your girl is so cute. I'll go out and get a pic of my girl today and try to post it tonight.Really? I'd love to see her.My girl is a Golden Laced Wyandotte.
You are so right. I even made low perches for my flock and they flat refuse to perch. I have a big box (besides the nesting boxes) that they all bundle into at night. So cute!Fun fact about them: Most silkies don't perch, but sleep in a pile on the ground!
Here's hoping and I'm sure you will have a fuzzy little bundle soon. If you can, post a pic of the baby once it hatchesYes, that is before she went broody. She's broody right now and sitting on one egg. Today is day 20!!!!!! And I candled the egg, there's a chick inside alright! I can't see very well because the chick is keeping the light from getting all the way through. I REALLY hope it hatches!
