I keep devising ways of acquiring feed for free! There is a small rstaurant here and the owner wants my eggs. I am thinking about asking to trade a doz or two eggs for slop buckets from his restaurant.

All of the cafe's that I worked at would clean the plates in 5gal pails for a man who raised pigs. Each night he picked up the pails and provided clean ones. I think even the local nursing home did that as long as the pails are picked up promplty. Its a great way to feed pigs cheap!

I thought I had updated this. LOL

He told us it was a male pig but when we got it home and settled we discovered different the next day. The man is very old, 80+ at least. I don't think he could get in there and really check what was what. He says the other one is a male too - I don't know.

MIss Prissy what are you close to in VA? theres a few breeders around me that have pigs for sale im getting a little girl from one this week.
