Some PIG!

that is a great price. they go for about 30 dollars for a weined piglet here. I raise yorkshires and they are about my favorite pig. I got one question for you though. Does he still have his reproductive organs? I have never butchered a boar but i hear quite often that if they do that it changes the flavor of the meat. Anyway I am sure you knew that so i guess i am probably wasting your time reading this but it was just a curiosity. Let me know how the meat comes out. Because of what i have been told once a boar gets too old to use i give it away on freecycle to people that can use it.

i don't know much about pig prices (though what has been said on here will def go into my store of knowledge for the future!!) but the old man was right! that is one purty lil pig!!! zowee!!! almost a shame to eat 'im!

Did you read the update? LOL When we got it home we discovered he was she. I am looking for a hampshire or yorkshire to breed her with. Then have him cut and raise him for meat.

We are raising 5 pigs right now. When we bought them the males were alot bigger then the females. That was oh about 4 months ago. One female now far out weighs males. And about the price we gave 40 or 45 dollars.
