Thank you all. I know that when we first got chickens, I told myself,"you know that one day, they are going to die". I guess I just wasn't expecting a loss so soon. She was malnourished as a chick and my mom and I talked about the possibities of her being sick a lot. I just never thought she would go now....... Points to every animal owner who has experienced a loss before; my prayers are with you, now more than ever since I too feel the pain of loss. May your heavy hearts become light at the dawning of a new day and a new happiness, while you remember the good times, and the bad, and smile up at the sky. And my prayers are also with those who have yet to experience a loss. May you do everything you can to make your animals comfortable and happy in their last few hours, and know that you did everything you could. Amen.
