wow, I didn't know this was normal, at least among this group! But I am glad to hear others think about the same things I do!

mrsengseth that is the best stealth mission I can think of!

I thought I was the only one doing this, always looking to get ideas for coops, pens etc. Heck the other night I found a guy who just bought some nice Buff Op hens, I think I was more excited then he was.

We are currently in the 'see that persons tractor?'

We can only dream of owning our own tractor....so for some crazy reason we enjoy being envious of others with fine machines!

I do it too lol My neighbors across the road have chickens b/c I saw them trying to cross the road!

When they saw and heard us coming up the street they ran back home

I keep looking at yards in our "East County" and "Back Country" and I keep asking - Why don't they have chickens?

We go to 6th grade camp each year, until this one because of CA's budget issues!, and I look at all the folks with cows, horses and or sheep. Then I wonder - Where are the chickens? Why don't I see a hen house.

The two egg ranches we pass DO NOT count. Even if I buy their eggs because they are coming to my market, egg ranches don't count. But I still wonder....

Where are the chickens? (That can be sung to George Michael's Where is the Rain, BTW. )

That's me! And I must be desperate for more chickens, because I've brainstormed about how to turn some really strange things into coops.

My SO keeps talking about how he's gonna build himself a large shop. My verbal response is "that's nice dear" but my mind is saying Yippee! Soon the bike shed will be mine all mine!

I keep eyeballing plots of vacant AG-zoned land in the country.

I want to move sooo bad...living in rental places for eight years is beginning to drive me batty, and our neighbors are ghetto and rude (though their contract with our landlord isn't going to be renewed and they don't even know it yet; she's going to wait until this winter to tell them!). Our goal is to build a house, but in this economy, that's just not happening any time soon.
