The scab would just be when he was joined to the sack.It should fall off in time. Glad he is standing now. Sounds like he is a little fighter. yes you can give him some electrolytes when you put him in the brooder also if you can get your hands on some poly vi sol drops (without iron) put a few drops in his water too.

Is he dried out yet? You can move him to the brooder once he is fully dried out.

I had a little chick once that I had to help hatch due to the hen leaving the nest when he was not fully out. It was very cold outside and I knew the baby would freeze. My son and I kept him alive for a week by feeding him from a dropper every 2-4 hours. My little fighter never did stand on his own but we had the satisfaction of knowing that we did everything we could. No matter how your little chick turns out (and it sounds like he is doing very well) you should always have the satisfaction of knowing that you did everything you could for this little chick. Take care, others do understand what you are going through.

I don't know much about hatching from an incubator (only hatched birds and chicks naturally) but I do know that stressing him out will do the most harm the fastest. Be sure he is warm(no drafts) and quiet. Don't handle him unless you absolutely have to. The egg sack can feed him for quite a while, maybe two days. Do a search on this site for conformation on that. Do you have any pics to give us an idea of the amount of blood loss? I think Beet juice is supposed to help with low iron so perhaps you could put some in a dropper tomorrow and give it on his beak a drop at a time, that way you won't have to worry about it going into his lungs. Maybe someone with more knowledge will come on and confirm or deny about the beet juice. I know you want to help right away and it seems urgent to do something immediately but I think wait and see how things progress might be best right now. I am so sorry you are going Thur this and I pray it will work out.

we just had a similar issue with one of ours but it hatched on time but spent 50 hours in the shell after it pipped so i helped it out he was pitiful the first day but now hes pushin the others chicks around in the brooder

Hes all fluffy and dry. TRYING his very hardest to stand but he can only

do flips and stand on his elbows... Should I put him in the brooder now?

Do I need to dip his beak in water for him? He seems to be very wobbly.

He wouldn't be able to drink..I'm having a hard time understanding these

electrolytes. I cannot figure out how much he needs in the water, since

the pack is made for gallons and gallons of water.
