Song lyrics gone wrong...

Seriously??? The sky??? That makes no sense. Now I'm re-thinking my Woodstock stint.

Old rock didn't make sense a lot of the times, and Jimi was known for always being high when he wrote, and played his songs. Though if you think about it, sky can be used in the place of something, high, beautiful, or whatever. It's been used like that before by quite a few artists..

My daughter sings the Alan Jackson song 'Red on a Rose' There is a part in the main chorus that goes "And I love you , like all little children love pennies"

My daughter sing, and now has me singing, "And I love you, like all little children love GUINEAS" She swears they are sings about guinea hens!

The lyrics for All-Star:

'All the planets and stars!'

My brother singing it:

'All that glitters is gold!'

So what are the right lyrics???

You do not want to ask me that! Once I start singing a song, I will sing it off and on all day-which is what I am now doing.
Are you reeling in the years, stowing away the time. Are you gathering up the tears, have you had enough of mine.

I probably sang your husband's version. Yours looks brand-new to me.

I think we all misunderstood it at one time, but are you insinuating that they are NOT saying what i think they're saying?

What ARE they saying?
