Anyway, next skin crawling song for me would be Christmas Shoes. The fabricated manipulation, the oddity of an unsupervised child purchasing shoes for an ailing parent that's likely bedbound. I hate it with every fiber of my being.

I think for some people it reads cheesy? I'm not a big musical person, but there are tracks I like from Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, etc.

They're definitely not all equal. I probably dont actually like 90% of them. I think I've just found songs from musicals tend carry far more emotions behind them.
Like as you mentioned, Defying Gravity (the original) had been one of my regular songs lately.
I don't like Hamilton, but there's like two songs that I have been enjoying lately too.

Everything, the actual music is bad and never mind the dancing and the cringe. I'd rather just read the book or get the cliffnotes online than sit through all that

I do like musicals.
It's been a while since I've seen any, though.
I can't say if I prefer musicals over other music. They're just different.

Grew up on some musical movies and am quite fond of them.
I always liked musical school plays. (*K, not always. Occasionally there were unnecessary scenes added.) And maybe some local community theater. I only saw those when I was a kid though, as relatives or friends were in them.

I think it's against BYC policy to start a sci-fi culture war. But for the record, I love both (original trilogy only, please).
