Sonja's Violeta

Pics
See, I can't even take a photo of the page and put it on here with a red arrow so you are way beyond me! LOL

And to keep up with the thread here, I would love to see photos of the Violeta next to another bird. I am sure it is hard to capture the correct dazzle of the feathers but the shading has to be different somehow. I always love to see as many photos as possible to learn as much as I can.

Hey, don't feel bad I just learned to change my avatar!

The interesting thing about the Violetta -- and I think I am repeating Zaz's observation -- is that the train feathers seem to absorb light instead of being reflective, like regular IBs.
(This is based on photos only, haven't seen them in person).
I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures in the future!
Thanks for sharing, George!

I just looked at your website, which looks great, and I noticed some pictures that I had not previously noticed. Those train pictures are great, and the violeta's are really beautiful! I want them!

Oh wow yeah there are new photos of the Violeta like lots more up close photos of the train. It is definitely different looking for sure! A dark purplish color...

Please can you post new photoes of Sonja's Violeta peacock.

Otherwise members will confuse Sonja's Violeta peacock with Midnight peacock and Purple peacock.

I have a feeling the Sonja's Violeta peafowls might be just Midnight peafowls.

It seems as though (and sorry to repeat what has been said here many times) photographs can't really do justice to the Violettas. Seeing them in person may be the only way to get a good sense of how they differ from other colors.
Clearly, George has enough experience with peafowl to know if his Violetta is really a Midnight!!!!!

Maybe you'll have to get on an airplane and see for yourself, Clinton!
It would be good if you could include drawings of the Violettas with your other illustrations.
