I think you can always submit photos to the UPA and they will accept them. They might still be accepting photos for the 2014 calendar...I am not sure...They might order them in December. I am sure it doesn't take too long to order them and have them made although they might want to have them by December so that people can go ahead and get them. I am not sure...That would be interesting to know what patterns it is in... Is the UPA still accepting pictures for the calendar?
Wow Violetes are coming along nicely! The Violete is now in BS pattern, Pied, B S Pied, Wild type, and split spalding males. George
What if the Sonja's Violeta peafowl were just midnight peafowl ??? or Purple peafowl in fresh plumage ??? Bronze peafowl ???
Resent photoes of Sonja's Violeta peafowl and correct colours are only way to save misunderstandment, otherwise members will think "This bird is a midnight peafowl"
Please provide the resent photoes of Sonja's Violeta peafowls.
Sorry if I'm picking on you, its just that your posts were easily available. But, some people here seem to feel that it is george's responsibility to prove to you that Sonja's Violette, or Peacock man's responsibility to prove that white green eyed peafowl that they are talking about exist. Its not. And, its differences of opinion and preferences that contribute to the option of many different colors/patterns of peafowl available. Its a basic fact of life that photographs are not a good substitute for seeing in person. A pea that in pictures looks dull and or ugly very often is absolutely gorgeous in the real. That said, for those of us that just can't jet around to see everybody's peas in person, pictures are the next best thing. We just need to keep in mind that begging for a picture is one thing and acting like a picture is owed is another. Please can you post new photoes of Sonja's Violeta peacock.
Otherwise members will confuse Sonja's Violeta peacock with Midnight peacock and Purple peacock.
I have a feeling the Sonja's Violeta peafowls might be just Midnight peafowls.
Sonja's Violeta peacock is big pile of it. There is no such thing. That is why no one has seen a photo of it that looks like anything other than an India Blue. Asking what the Violeta looks like is like asking what a giant pigmy looks like. It looks like everybody else.
