Sonja's Violeta

Clinton9,,I own Midnights, and as previously posted, have seen Violetta's in person,,,they are nowhere close to being the same, dark ocean blue compared to a deep maroon is opposite sides of the fence. You are very, very wrong in your assumptions.

I do not disagree that the birds are very different but my 2 cents on this is that there are not enough good photos of the birds in question. I am sure next spring this will be remedied. Education can only go so far when the photos are hard to compare to each other.

The photos on Brad's web site were taken by me at the same time the ones on my site were taken and was done at Brads farm.,,,,,,, If anyone has been there you can recognize the red painted background on the photo of the Violete female on my site. For your info. connerhills
I apologize for not posting the photos you sent to me, i am unable to locate them after i saved them, it is like they just disappeared from my photo files. i can only see them myself from my e-mail.

Do you know the name of the pictures? You should be able to see the name of them in the email. I would do a search on your computer for the photo titles and see if they show up. You could also try re-saving them and make sure you know what area it is saving them to like when you click the picture and say "save as..." and it brings up the box, make sure your photos folder or whatever folder you want it in is selected.

Dear new 2 pfowl,
I am afarid I cannot make new illustrations of Sonja's Violeta peafowls as there is no new photoes of Sonja's Violeta peacocks until springtime in USA, and there is no description of Sonja's Violeta peafowls yet.

Description of Sonja's Violeta peafowls are unknown, apart from a peahen with dark blue on where green parts are, on neck.

This is an explame of descriptions below.

See that is whats weird, it gave me a prompt to save and when i said yes they just went somewhere but did not show me where like when you save as.. it gives you options, my e-mail just put them some where else, the photos are not of an open train they are pretty much just parts of the tail that show some of the cool colors, i hope someone gets some with their train open, that is what folks are wanting to see i think, wished i lived close to someone that had these i would gladly take some photo for them with my good camera.

Ya know there was a time when one could do that and get by but nowadays gas, lodging and eats alone a person would have to charge alot of money just to pay expensive, now with technology and no film to develop you get instant photo result, you can save money but thats about it.

Ya can't just hitch hike around the states like ya could when i was younger, someone will most likeley try to hurt you or worse, makes me sad to think about it but i am glad i lived in a time when i hitch around and it was pretty safe.

Yep exactly I know I wouldn't be able to travel around to do that. I guess you could always email or call people with questions and then compile it into a book of info from each peafowl breeder and have them send you their best, clear photos of their birds. Maybe the UPA should think about doing something cool like that although I don't know how hard it is to get enough breeders to send in all the info. Maybe you could do it at a UPA convention.

Anyways are there Spalding Sonja's Violetas or are they still just in India Blues?
