Sooo Excited & need some help please!!

Hey everyone...

hope everyone is having a great friday...

Hoping someone could throw some advise my way

So we found out we have a boy now.. and my runner is laying eggs like crazy

And i think she is finally done. 17 total in the nest as of this morning..
my worries are she made her nest away from the coop (in a nice hidden location where they both can hide there) i cant tell how often she is sitting on them but i know she is off and on when i am out there.
should i just leave the eggs/nest and see if she does what she needs to??

Ooh and should i start counting down from when she stops laying? or from when she started laying?
And about the candling if i touch them is that ok?? or just try and do it while they lay in the nest? Uuuuggh! i dont know what to do.. but would love to have some little ones running around.

You would be better off putting her where you can confine her, nest and all. She won't like it and she may not even sit, but I am afraid if you leave her where she is you'll be sorry. You can touch the eggs to move them and to candle, it's an old wives tale about birds not sitting or going back to the nest after a human has touched the eggs. I know it's a hard decision to move her, but you have hers and her ducklings safety in mind. All the best.
