Sorry - Apology from "Samarai Jenn" about the entire fake story

Why was "Samarai Jenn" allowed to even post the lame "apology"?

The Staff felt that it would be best if the individual themselves told you all that it was fake.

If we had made a separate announcement, the person could have slipped away quietly, and there would always remain the question as to whether it was really a hoax or if "Samarai Jenn" just got offended and left BYC.

We wanted to make sure everyone here received the real truth, and what better way than from the individual that started the hoax?

It was just some of the posts that sounded a little to normal for someone in morning. I almost feel bad for this person, clearly you have to be extremely lonely and disturbed to make up something like this. I am glad to know that there are so many caring people on this site. I had a terrifying night when my dog was in the ER and about to die. I asked everyone to pray for me and they were so kind. I don't think any of us should feel bad for praying, though I am still so disturbed that someone would make us all think that they just lost a baby! I feel terrible for the poor woman in the pictures he used!

i agree to the fact that many people sent a long time on the thread. my sister sent hours on the thread and if i were her, i would be upset over my wasted time

Rule of thumb for photography, as long as you can see the subject from public property or private property that you have permission to be on and the subject has no expectation of privacy you may photograph them.

p.s. I searched the PA statutes before making this post, if you can find the law that backs your claim please post it.

BTW the people in the photographs that the Troll used can sue for libel at the Troll painted them in a false light by claiming that the person in the photograph had give birth, lost a child or suffered damage in an automobile crash.

it may or may not be state law it may be more local law couldn't tell ya i've never looked it up but alot of pa laws r not on the net. we have to sign what is called a model release.

For the record, this person was not "allowed" to make an apology; he/she was "forced/compelled" to make a public admission of guilt. Nifty wanted our members to be able to vent their feelings since so many were emotionally invested in the fake story. Eventually, this will be closed, I'm sure, and everything that can be done will be done to keep this person from returning. Then, it will be just an unpleasant memory and we can all get back to the enjoyment of our BYC friends and our chickens. Dont let a scammer steal your joy.

I agree with you Cyn, but now everytime somebody say's "Pray for my baby", or "In labor at only 26 weeks", it is going to be hard for me to believe them. When you follow a thread as close as some of us have, it becomes apart of you in a sense, and now somebody has taken it all away. That is hard to deal with. I have to say I have been burned and it sickens me to know that somebody is cruel enough to play with other's emotions, like this person has.
This story hit close to home because my sister lost her daughter at 28 day's old.

i've had people lie to me my whole life,, you all have too,, its a part of life,, did your friend lying to you last month, make you think everyone was lying this month??,,, noooo ,, kids lie all the time,, but when they run in the house saying something is wrong,, we STILL run out and check,,,, even the seventh time

,, and like barnyard said,, it will be hard to believe,,,,,, BUT,, can ya imagine how hard it will be to ignore another "story" like this 1, and to find out it was true, and that person went through this with NO support. and thats why we'll believe the next,, and the next,, and even the next.
