Sorry - Apology from "Samarai Jenn" about the entire fake story

I'm normally not a trusting person, but I'd really hate to be second guessing every single post.

(I'll admit it makes me wicked weary about sharing stuff here about my kids, the new baby, etc., though. 1)for fear people won't believe it anyway so why bother and 2)b/c I don't know that I would want our/their pictures being on here after this mess.

why would pics of you, or ya kids be a bad thing?,, lairs and cheats see your kids every day, what could posting a pic do?, a pic is JUST a pic.,, unless you start giving out ya full name, address, phone #,,,, "paranoia will destroy ya" < old song

(The only reason for lack of pics is not just specifically here, but on-line in general. Prefer not to have them "stolen" and used as someone elses. KWIM? What I like/d most about BYC was the fact that I felt safer contacting people, exchanging things, sharing info, pics etc. mainly because most people on here have met other people on here. If that makes sense.

For example, I have met several BYCers and bought or exchanged chickens with them. So they know I am a real person and I would hope I could use them for a reference of sorts if someone seemed leary to meet me and I would do the same for them. When you are in random chat rooms, myspace or gaming rooms you have no clue who you are sharing info with. I like the fact that at least some people on here know I am a real person, not just an id.

I never posted on the fake thread, but I will admit to checking on the latest 'update'. The way everyone was treating these people, without my checking, I instantly figured they were real and someone on here had met them. I truly felt sad for these people and feel stupid for sharing the story with my family.

Wonder if BYC could add some sort of a rating/feedback section to our profiles. Or would that be too weird?

Between the blog link someone posted and the link to their My Page, they are two totally conflicting stories. I didn't follow this close enough to have seen either of those before, but I wonder why people closer to this didn't notice these right from the start?
